Raise some Funds, yal!

I just got an email from Tony that there's a fundraiser for Theatre Momentum in a few weeks. TM is the group that's producing "Fugue", the improvised, dramatic, multi-dimensional piece that I'm working on, right now. So, I'm planning on coming out that night to throw some cash at these folks. Cash, which will get spent on flyers, advertising and marketing for the show. So, it's a good investment.

If you're free, you should come out, too.


'70s Dance night!

Please join Theatre Momentum on Saturday, August 4th at Trace Bar (3714 North Clark St.) for 70s dancing and partying!

Looks like I finally have an excuse to go buy another $10 suit from the Village Discount Outlet. The seedier and seventies-ier, the better.

Sure,

I can dig that. Bars, any bars, can get boring and tedious. The only thing that makes them tolerable is having friends around to talk to.

For my purpose, I'll go to this party, throw some cabbage at the company (which has been kind enough to hire Don as our director and far-sighted enough to hire me as an actor), chat with my friends and cast-mates and then boogie on home.

Call it a tactical strike. In and out with minimum collateral damage.

Besides, there are worse places to hold a fund-raiser...

churches...
someones tiny apartment...
department stores...
street corners...
back alleys...
methadone clinics...
anywhere south of the Loop...

you get the idea.
